2008/9 men's singles
There was a good entry of 26 players for the 2009 men's singles, held in the Golf Club on Friday 13th February. The final was between the 2 form players, Kevin Critchlow of the Noust 1 and Jim McDill of the Legion. The best-of-nine final started off close, with the players tied at 2-2, but in the end Jim's power scoring and clinical finishing was the deciding factor, giving him a 5-2 win, and in his first ever West Mainland Singles too!
180s were plentiful - 2 from Jim McDill, 2 from Kevin Critchlow, and one each from Francis Ballantyne, Erland Ritch, Juicy Johnston and Lennie Clouston. There were checkouts of 164 and 154 from Jim McDill, 124 from John Munson and 120 from Erland Ritch.
